Two Titles Change Hands At SuperShow

Two championships changed hands at the SWA SuperShow this past Saturday at the National Guard Armory.  The Carolina Wrecking Crew of Wicked & Ric Hart came out on top in a Triple Threat Match for the SWA Tag Team Championships over Cruel & Unusual Punishment (Thug & Jeff Hamrick) and the former Champions, The Black Hand of the Mayhem Mafia (James Drake & Marshall Simmons).  During the match, special referee Mike Pain inserted himself into the action by kicking Thug and taking both he and his partner, Hamrick out of ring.  When a second referee hit the ring, Wicked & Ric Hart had both members of the Mafia rolled up and were able to pick up the win and the Championships. 

Also, rookie sensation, Kendall Slayer scored an incredible upset victory over the SWA Grand Prix Pure Wrestling Champion, Mike McCloud, claiming his first gold in his SWA career.

In other title action, SWA Heavyweight Champion, Myric Moore retained his belt in a Triple Threat Match over Derek Ryze and Derek Driver.

Mayhem Mafia Left Without Any Gold

After the events of Saturday's SuperShow, I.M. Righteous' Mayhem Mafia was left without any of the Championships that they were in possession of when the show began.

Despite the presence of Righteous, Janet Dinero and Rocky Xavier Starr at ringside, SWA Grand Prix Pure Wrestling Champion, Mike McCloud lost his title to Kendall Slayer.  Also, The Black Hand was unable to retain their Tag Team titles against The Carolina Wrecking Crew and Cruel & Unusual Punishment, despite the interference of special guest referee Mike Pain.

SouthernWrestlingAssociation.com was able to reach I.M. Righteous for a comment and he claimed to still have the situation well in hand.  "A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.  We need to determine which is the weakest link, and then eliminate it."

What that will mean for the future of the Mayhem Mafia remains to be seen.
